About Nancy Wexler, MA, MFCC


Nancy Wexler is director of Gerontology Associates, Alzheimer's Case Management Associates and Professional Placement Services, located in Los Angeles. She has worked in the profession of gerontology since 1975, and has been licensed as an MFCC in the state of California since 1981.

A gerontologist and psychotherapist in private practice for 15 years, Nancy Wexler specializes in the problems of middle-aged and older adults who are caring for their elderly loved ones. She has helped thousands of aging parents and adult children find their way through the complex maze of medical, psychological, legal and custodial care options.

Ms. Wexler is currently on the staffs of UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute, Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center, and Northridge Hospital Medical Center.

A pioneer in the field of geriatric care management, Ms. Wexler was a founding member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers. She served on the organization's first National Board of Directors for five years, and was on the Association's first Standards Committee.

Mama Can't Remember Anymore: Care Management of Aging Parents and Loved Ones is the book that introduces the profession of private geriatric care management to the public.
